Top Dress is an organic-based top dressing material. The compost is run through a smaller screen to the regular organic soil range that reduces the “stick” within the organics. It is then mixed with a sand mineral component to add weight. The result – a top dress solution that fills and levels easily (just as washed sand does), while also enabling you to give your grass and existing soil a healthy nutrient hit. Top Dress offers the additional advantage of holding nutrients longer in the root zone and can be used in conjunction with fertilisers. When using Top Dress, ensure the tips of your grass are showing through – only covering half to three quarters – otherwise they will suffocate. Top Dress is also suitable as an under-turf medium but not for general garden applications.

This product can be used as an underlay for new laws (turf or seeds). It is a mixture of Organic Compost and Screened Granite. In comparison to using soil from our range, this product will give a more stable feel underfoot because of the granite blend in the mixture and the compost gives nutrient value to feed your grass.

Organic Commercial Soil is produced locally at an Environmentally Approved and Certified Site. This product is a blend of fully composted green organics and boiler ash and has multiple uses. An ideal organic input into existing soils to increase organic carbon levels and the ash component helps with both the structure and drainage of the media. As an under turf media this is ideal as in point 1 it creates the ideal growing zone for the roots of your turf because of the structure and drainage with the ability to hold nutrient (fertiliser) within this zone and make it “PLANT AVAILABLE”. With the structure (stick) in the product creates a multitude of pore spacing’s that enables both water and air retention. If there is no air within the profile you have a saturated soil and nothing will grow. As a general garden mix, the Organic Commercial Soil is ideally suited for use with the likes of Exotics, Fruit and Vegetables and general planting. Not recommended for use with Australian Natives that require low phosphorous level.

• Will conform to both AS 4419 and MRTS 11-16 soil analysis. This means the soil that you are receiving can be used in an array of applications.
• Ideal for general plantings both in residential and commercial applications.
• A heavier blended soil that is an ideal under turf soil because you get the “body” of the sandy loam with the water holding capabilities of the compost.
